Anna Sergeyevna Koournikova is a Russian ex-professional tennis player and American television personality. The tennis star became famous because of her appearance and her fame. Anna Kournikova was a former tennis player from Russia who competed throughout her career in this sport, was once considered the world's top female player. Kournikova was a moderately skilled singles tennis player was a phenomenal doubles athlete. The team she was in together with Martina Hingis received widespread praise for the effectiveness of their teamwork. Her appearance and fashions have earned her international acclaim. She remains among the best athletes searched on the Internet. Kournikova, a baseliner who played in singles with speed and spin is an excellent example of a contemporary baseliner. She was known for her powerful returns as well as groundstrokes. Kournikova's father and mother, both pro athletes, have been born in Moscow. Sergei Kournikov, her father was a wrestler champion as was her mother Alla Kournikova ran. Kournikova was first introduced to tennis when she was five. When she was in 1991, the player made the move to Florida to attend the Nick Bollettieri tennis academy. Kournikova was a professional player after having turned professional. She began playing professional tennis in the age of 14 becoming the youngest tennis player to participate and win the Fed Cup for Russia. She made it to the U.S Open at 15 years old and reached the Wimbledon semi-finals in the age group of sixteen years old. Unfortunately, she was forced to end her professional tennis career at the age of 21 due to of back pain that was severe.
